93-year-old Zimbabwean President, Robert Mugabe, has reportedly agreed to step down from office as the nation’s president after his tenure as the longest serving president of the nation.

The report comes after there was a military intervention in the country where the president and his wife were both reported to have been arrested by the nation’s military forces.

According to recent verified reports, the Zimbabwean president, Mugabe, was reported to have negotiated for his wife, Grace, to leave the country while he prepares to step down.

Soldiers are reported to be guarding the key areas in the nation coming after the President and his guards were placed under siege.

Zimbabweans have also been urged to stay away from the Central Business District until further notice.
