Woman crushes church member to death while making phone call

A Nigerian woman has reportedly crushed a fellow church member to death in the Isolo area of Lagos state.

The woman, Mrs. Obiageli Ezeanowiyi, who has landed herself in serious trouble was reported to have crushed the victim while making a call and driving.

According to report, Ezeanowiyi lost control of the car and killed the victim known as Madam Chichi at Jakande Estate junction at Okeafa, Isolo close to St. Peters Catholic Church where both the suspect and the victim worshipped at the Adoration Ministry organised by a popular Catholic priest.

The suspect has since been arrested and detained at the Police station as she is now faced with murder charges.

The victim, Madam Chichi, was before her death the owner of a popular joint in the area and was reported to be heading for Sunday Adoration service before the incident occured.

Eyewitnesses at the scene reported that the suspect who drove a Nissan Pathfinder SUV ran into the victim who was waiting for the next available taxi to her destination and killed her instantly.

The deceased’s corpse has since been taken to the Isolo mortuary for autopsy report while the suspect, Mrs. Obiageli, reported herself to the police who detained her at the police station.

The vehicle which was involved in the accident resulting in the death of Madam Chichi was also recovered and parked at the Ejigbo Police Station as exhibit.
