We ask patients for cotton wool, spirit - Doctors at ABUTH reveal

The state of facilities at the Ahmadu Bello University Hospital (ABUTH), Zaria, Kaduna State has deteriorated to the extent that patients are required to provide basic medical logistics and facility by themselves.

The president of National Association of Resident Doctors ( NARD), ABUTH chapter, Waziri Aliyu, made the revelation while speaking to Chairman, Senate Committee on Health, Senator Lanre Tejuoso and his colleague representing Kaduna-Central Senatorial District, Senator Shehu Sani today.

Aliyu was quoted saying:

“As simple as cotton wool and methylated spirit are, we ask patients to provide. I think this is the height of it.”
