The All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, candidate in the Anambra State Central Senatorial rerun election, Chief Victor Umeh, has been announced the winner of the elections held in the state.
Victor Umeh returned as the winner of the Saturday, January 13 rerun election for Anambra Central senatorial zone.
Umeh was declared the winner of the polls at 2:30am on Sunday morning.
According to the announcement, Umeh polled 64,879 votes to defeat 13 other candidates in the election.
Umeh, according to report won the election by a wide margin and was only trailed by the All Progressive Congress, APC, candidate who came in with only 975 votes.
Other poll results include PPA with 116 votes; MPPP with 111 votes and LP with 95 votes, among others.
