For giving advice to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) via a statement made on media, Senator Rowland Owie, the National Assembly member representing Edo South, has berated Emir of Kano, Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II.
Speaking on Saturday, the former chief whip of the Nigerian Senate said:
“I urge the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi, to stop playing to gallery with national issues in Nigeria and emulate dignified and respectable emirs like the Emir of Dutse.
“As a grade one Traditional Ruler from the north, he should have direct access to President Muhammadu Buhari to advise him instead of doing it in the media.
“The Emir should know that he is no longer the CBN governor. He should behave as a father traditional ruler now or abdicate the throne and go into politics.”
