Brazilian World Cup winner and football superstar, Ronaldinho, has announced his retirement from professional football.
The footballer’s decision was communicated in a message shared by his brother and agent, Roberto Assis.
The 37-year-old Brazilian before his retirement won the Champions League and Ballon d’Or during his career although he has not played for any professional team since leaving Fluminense in 2015.
Ronaldinho who was on the sidelines of a friendly match which held in Chechnya in July stated that he was “too old” to return to action.
The confirmation made by the footballer’s brother, Assis stated: “He has stopped, it is ended.”
Assis added: “Let’s do something pretty big and nice after the Russia World Cup, probably in August. We will do various events in Brazil, Europe and Asia and, of course, we are arranging something with the Brazilian team as well.”
