 Policeman, three children die in household fire at Plateau capital, Jos
Anthony Kwame, his son, Emmanuel, and daughters, Theresa and Kerry died in a fire incident that occurred at their home in Jos, Plateau State on Monday 8 August 2016.Anthony, a retired assistant superintendent of Police who hails from Shendam LGA of Plateau was an aide-de-camp to former Plateau State governor Fidelis Tapgun. His wife and one other child reportedly survived the incident.

Narrating how the incident happened, one neighbour told newsmen:

“The meter was mounted at the entrance to the building. There was a spark from the meter which started the fire. Because the meter was at the entrance, the fire prevented them from escaping. It quickly spread to other rooms in the house.”
