Following the fresh attack carried out in Benue state by suspected Fulani herdsmen leaving no fewer than 50 persons dead, indgenes have taken to the street to express their dissatisfaction.
Recall that the fresh attack comes after the suspected Fulani herdsmen attacked parts of the Guma and Logo Local Government Areas of the state on New Year’s Day.
The attack which spilled over to Tuesday came after the state implemented the anti-open grazing law which was considered detrimental by the herdsmen.
The protest against the killings is currently holding in Makurdi, the state capital.
