Photos: Ex-VP, Alex Ekwueme Finally Laid To Rest

The body of Nigeria’s former Vice President, Dr. Alex Ekwueme, has finally been laid to rest after the body had toured the country over the past week.

The remains of the late elder stateman was laid to rest on Friday at his hometown, Oko in Anambra state.

Present at the burial ceremony were key government officials, party associates, close friends and family members.

Dr. Alex Ekwueme died in November 2017 at the age of 85.

Notable personalities present at the burial service include the current Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, former President Goodluck Jonathan and his wife, Patience.

Also present was the former Vice President Namadi Sambo; the Anambra state Governor, Willie Obiano; Rochas Okorocha of Imo state, Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta state, Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia state, Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos state, amongst others.
