As part of its plan to make the seven-day National Day holiday in China more spicy, a company in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province of China has organized a sleeping competition which anyone can register.
During the competition, participants have to stay in their metal beds from 9:30 am to 7:30 pm amidst the hot sunlight and chilling weather towards the evening. So far, 16 people lasted in the first day and on the second, only 8 people remained.
One female participant told newsmen:
“I will win the game for my parents because winners are awarded a two-day stay at a spring hotel in Dalian, a coastal city. I want to take them there.”
Another participant named Leifeng Cap added:
“My girlfriend registered for me. I will prove that I can win.”
