A South African clergyman Alfred Ndlovu has died of starvation after he embarked on a journey set out to beat Jesus Christ’s 40 days of fasting as written in the Holy Bible. Pastor Ndlovu who accomplished over 70 percent of the mission died after the 30th day of fasting without food or water. His church members said the 44-year-old began the fasting on June 17.
A family source told newsmen:
“He was a very spiritual man. Its unfortunate he had to die this way. After a month we got the sad news of his death.
“Pastor was a healthy and religious old man who did not even look his age.”
