A Nigerian man identified as Garba Tukura has been accused of flogging his neighbour, Musa Wassa, to death in Zazzaga Village in the Munya Local Government Area of Niger State.
The Niger State Police command on Thursday was reported to have arrested the 49-year-old man who was alleged to have killed his 65-year-old neighbour after a heated argument.
The Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, Peter Sunday, revealed that Tukura, in the heat of an argument, flogged Wassa with an engine belt.
Wassa, the assaulted person was reported to have slumped and was immediately rushed to the hospital where he was declared camatose and later dead.
Police report that the suspect, now in detention, has confessed to his crimes and will be charged to court soon.
