The Kaduna State Government has on Thursday announced a 32.5 percent increase in the salaries of techers of public schools in the state.
The announcement was made by the state’s Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Ja’afaru Sani.
The Education commissioner while making the announcement at a news conference in Kaduna stated that 27.5 per cent would be added to all the teachers while the remaining five per cent would serve as incentive for teachers posted rural areas.
The State Education Commissioner further stated that head teachers would be entitled to 3-Bedroom accommodation and other teachers, 2-bedrooms flats in addition to motorcycles for the ease of transportation.
Sani also added that the State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB, would post the first batch of the newly recruited 10,000 teachers to primary schools within the next two weeks.
