Latest Ranking For Nigerian Universities Released

The latest ranking of Nigerian Universities has been released with the University of Ibadan confirming itself to be the best tertiary institution as it was ranked the first amongst other Nigerian Universities.

The January edition of the 2018 Webometrics however ranked the University as the 1099th in the world.

The University of Ibadan is followed by a privately owned institution, Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State.

The third position however goes to the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State.

Other Univsersities which made the ranking include the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, which came in the 14th position in Nigeria and 3,680th position in the world despite the protracted and debilitating industrial crisis last year.

Bayero University, Kano came in 15th, and 3760th in the world; Lagos State University in the 16th position and 3807th the world; University of Uyo on the 17th position, and 3823rd in the world.

Other listed Universities include;

University of Calabar 18th, 4153rd
Nnamdi Azikiwe University 19th, 4277th, and
University of Jos 20th, 4323rd.
