A crowd of Kogi State residents pelted stones at governor Yahaya Bello as he emerged from a mosque where he observed Jumat prayers in Lokoja, the State capital. This has led to the summoning of an emergency meeting by stakeholders of the Kogi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to address the issue today.
Quoting a source which spoke to Post Nigeria Newspaper:
“The situation in this State is even worse than what the residents are doing. The situation is pathetic.”
Another official who works at the government house in Lokoja added:
“He recently attended an event in Ankpa, and residents there defied heavy security to stone him. We don’t understand what’s going on.”
