Kano State Gov. Asks Fulani Herdsmen To Relocate To Kano

The Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has yesterday called on all Fulani herdsmen resident in other parts of the country, especially in the terror worn Benue and Taraba states to relocate to his state.

The State governor noted that the state has a vast expanse of land which can accommodate them and their cattle.

Ganduje, also a Fulani, made this known while inspecting the vaccination of over one million cattle and other small animals’ conducted free-of-charge at Kadawa artificial insemination centre in Garum Malam Local Government Area of the state.

The vaccination program conducted is as part of activities lined up to mark the 2017/2018 livestock vaccination programme.

The state governor further condemned the recent killings in Benue and other states across the country stating that the ‘unacceptable’ crisis emanated from clashes between farmers and herdsmen.

The governor further stated that the government, as part of its commitment to encourage herdsmen in the state has continued to provide facilities that will contain and cater for the herdsmen and their cattle.
