“Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle”, a movie by Sony family has skyrocketed to the top of the U.S. Box Office as the movie is now on the top spot at the North American box office this holiday weekend.
The position makes the second week in a row for the movie which stars actors such as Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Jack Black and Kevin Hart.
The movie is reported to have netted a total of $35.2 million over the Martin Luther King Day weekend, pushing the domestic grossing to $291.3 million just four weeks after it was released.
On the second spot over the holiday weekend is Fox’s movie, “The Post” which netted a total of $23 million over the Friday-Monday MLK weekend.
In the third place comes Fox’s “The Greatest Showman” followed by Lionsgate’s “The Commuter” which netted $15.8 million in its first week.
“Paddington 2” comes in the fifth place with $15 million over the weekend.
