Inspector General Of Police Rules That Policemen Have No Authority To Search People's Phones

Officers of the Nigerian police force have been banned from illegal accessing of mobile phones of citizens by the Inspector-general of police, Solomon Arase.

In a circular issued by the IGP today, January 4, the IGP mandated the police officers to protect right of private and families.

The number police officer urged members of the public to contact @PoliceNG_CRU on Twitter should any officer illegally search their phones.
