The Lekki toll gate fare increase which is a new implementation has led to an unexpected standstill as motorists have been brought to a halt.
The Traffic as observed yesterday on the Lekki-Epe expressway came as a result of the new tariff implementation which kicked off yesterday, February 1.
The new toll gate fare was set by the Lekki Concession Company, LCC, the managers of the road.
Motorists at the Admiralty Circle Plaza (Lekki-Epe expressway) now have to pay the sum of N200 as against the earlier N120 while sports utility vehicles, SUV, now pay N250 as against the N150 price tag. For commercial buses, the new tariff has been pegged at N150 as against the earlier N80 while motorcycles now pay N100.
The Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge will have saloon cars pay N300 as against N250; sports utility vehicles, SUV, mini vans, and light trucks to now pay N400 as against the N300 while motorcycles will now pay N200.
