Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and his entourage paid a visit to the scenes of a horrific attack on villagers by Fulani herdsmen at Amagu village in Attakwu Akegbe community, Nkanu LGA of Enugu State this afternoon.
The governor was in the company of Enugu Catholic Diocese bishop, Dr. C.V.C Onaga, during the visit. Ugwuanyi vowed to bring the perpetrators of the dastardly act to book using all powers within his reach as state governor.
About 8 people were brutally attacked when Fulani herdsmen stormed Amagu in the wee hours of Thursday. Among the casualties was a seminarian who was butchered to death and two women whose intestines were gutted out of their stomach (click here for graphic pictures).
