Fulani Herdsmen Reportedly Kidnap Four Policemen In Benue

Coming days after the Nigerian Army declared the Operation Ayem Akpatuma in the Benue and other states, fresh reports has indicated that the Fulani herdsmen have struck again.

The recent attack perpetrated by the herdsmen in Benue state was reported to have led to the kidnap of four policemen.

According to report, the policemen were reportedly kidnapped and their security van burnt by the suspected Fulani herdsmen who ambushed the team in Logo Local Government Area of Benue State.

The affected and kidnapped officers were reported to be heading back from a confidence-building mission in the remote villages when the herdsmen opened fire on them in Tse Akpam village, near Azege town.

The State’s Police Commissioner, Fatai Owoseni, while confirming the incident stated that the whereabouts of the kidnapped officers remain unknown.
