Manchester United Manager, Jose Mourinho has slammed Frank De Boer following his claims that Marcus Rashford would have performed much better under a different coach.
The Manchester United manager in reaction to the jibe from Frank De Boer labelled him the “the worst manager in Premier League history”.
Recall that De Boer had faulted Jose Mourinho’s handling of the young player who pulled two goals for the Manchester side in his last match against Liverpool FC.
De Boer had claimed Mourinho was the worst man to be in charge of Manchester United and by extension the young player, Marcus Rashford, stating that the handling will limit the young striker.
Mourinho in his reply to the manager who was sacked after just 77 days at Crystal Palace after he secured four league defeats and no goals scored said: “I read something, some quote from the worst manager in the history of the Premier League, Frank De Boer, Seven matches, seven defeats, zero goals.
“What he was saying was it was not good for Marcus to have a coach like me, because the most important thing for me is to win. “But if Marcus was coached by Frank, he would lose, because he lost every game. But I try to give the best to the kid. I have to be honest and give the credit to the people of the academy, who were responsible for his formation and to Mr [Louis] Van Gaal who was responsible for his first season.
“But if you go to his numbers and see how many matches he played with me last season and this, I would say probably he’s in the top five players with most matches in the two seasons.”
