EFCC Boss, Ibrahim Magu Escapes Assassination Attempt

The acting boss of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has escaped an assassination attempt after declaring that the war against corruption in the country is a ‘do or die affair’.

The Nation reports that the gunmen stormed Magu’s farmhouse located in Karshi, FCT at about 10pm Tuesday and exchanged fire with the policemen on duty.

Reports also indicated that some of the suspects have also been issuing death threats to Magu’s family in Borno State leading to the deployment of a unit of Policemen to the uncompleted bungalow in Karshi.
