English Premier League side, Chelsea FC, has revealed why it will not be recalling Nigerian footballers, Ola Aina and Omuero into the team’s squad.
Revealing the decision of the team, Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte during a press interview said: “I don’t think this could be realistic. The players we send on loan are playing.
“I don’t see a possibility for players to come back on loan. I remember last January with Ake, Kenedy and Musonda coming back to improve our squad.”
The latest decision comes after five players of Nigerian descent including Ola Aina, Fikayo Tomori, Kenneth Omeruo, Ike Ugbo and Tammy Abraham were sent away on loan by the club.
The loan offer was however in view of creating playing opportunities for the youngsters in the smaller clubs where they were guaranteed starters for their clubs in the first half of the season.
