Check out what the first Nigerian National Anthem looked like

Before the advent of Nigeria’s current National Anthem, “Arise, O Compatriots”, there existed the maiden national anthem “Nigeria, We Hail Thee” which was in use between 1960 and 1978.

The second national anthem (Arise, O Compatriots) was composed by John A. Ilechukwu, Eme Etim Akpan, B. A. Ogunnaike, Sota Omoigui and P.O. Aderibigbe while the maker of the first one is unknown.
