A former aide to the former president Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has slammed the Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari, over his continued silence on the recent killings perpetrated by Fulani herdsmen in some states.
Reno Omokri, while reacting to the recent killings in Benue and other states in the country attributed to the Fulani herdsmen stated that the nation’s president, Muhammadu Buhari prefered to visit his “gay cows” in Daura, Katina State than visit Benue.
Reno Omokri took to his social media page on Twitter to express his disgust for the manner in which the president has treated the issue.
He wrote: “The funny thing is that President Buhari has still not visited Benue where killer Fulani herdsmen killed Nigerians but he has visited Daura to tend to his 150 gay cows that don’t increase in number.
“It seems his cows are more important to Buhari than Benue people.”
The reaction comes following the protest held on Monday by dozens of people at Trafalgar Square, London.
The protest by the Nigerians in diaspora was in condemnation of the incessant killing of innocent Nigerians by suspected Fulani herdsmen in various parts of Nigeria.
The protest was reported to have been convened by Mutual Union of Tivs in the United Kingdom (MUTUK) and was supported by members of the Nigerian community in the United Kingdom.
