Buhari reveals what he's doing to secure release of abducted Dapchi schoolgirls

The Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari has revealed that the Nigerian government is doing all within its capacity to see to the release of the recently abducted schoolgirls in Dapchi, Yobe State by the Boko Haram sect.

Buhari while speaking on the abduction and actions which have been set rolling by the federal government noted that his administration is negotiating the release of the schoolgirls from the Musab Al-Barnawi led faction of the terrorist group.

The President in a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, following the visit by Rex Tillerson, the United States secretary of state, at the presidential villa, Abuja said: “We are trying to be careful. It is better to get our daughters back alive.”

Buhari however expressed his gratitude to the United States government for the assistance offered in the fight against insurgency in the country adding that the Nigerian forces are good, “but need assistance in the areas of training and equipment.”
