The Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari who was for over 100 days in the United Kingdom earlier in the year on an extended medical trip has revealed that he is much better since his return from the medical sojourn.
The Nigerian president who in 2017 travelled twice to the UK for medical attention over an undisclosed ailment while speaking to a delegation at the Federal Capital Territory has revealed a part of how he got better.
Speaking to the delegation, the Nigerian president also admitted that he was confused as regards his age as he thought he was 74 years old until he was reminded otherwise.
Buhari, while speaking to the delegation at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, said: “It has been a tumultuous year. I thought I was 74 but I was told I was 75.”
The Nigerian President further added: “I have never been so sick even the 30 months civil war (when) I was stumbling under farm of yams or cassava but this sickness I don’t know but I came out better.
“All those who saw me before and when I came back said I look much better, but I have explained it to the public that as a General I used to give orders now I take orders; the doctors told me to feed my stomach and sleep for longer hours that is why I am looking much better.”
