A former governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Sule Lamido has accused the Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari, who emerged on the All Progressice Congress, APC, political platform of stealing from the nation under the guise of the anti-corruption fight.
The former Jigawa state governor further maintained that Buhari’s emergence as the President is a grave mistake made by Nigerians.
Speaking yesterday, Alhaji Sule Lamido, a Peoples Democratic Party, PDP chieftain and Presidential aspirant stated that Nigeria had never before the emergence of Buhari witnessed the amount of hatred and bloodshed across ethnic and religious divides since independence.
Lamido further appealed to the leaders of the PDP to join hands in ousting the All Progressive Congress, APC from power.
He added: “We can defeat them easily if we all share the same thought and pains as Nigerians are teeling now.”
While speaking in Ado Ekiti on Tuesday, during his visit to the State governor, Ayodele Fayose, Lamido praised the state governor for his staunch and unwavering criticism of the nation’s president and his administration in a bid to seek redress of important issues.
Lamido added: “I have come to discuss with you about our party and look at Nigeria in 2019. APC is stealing under the cover of anti corruption fight. In Nigeria, the only hope in 2019 is PDP, because APC is a contraption.”
