The embattled Islamist-Jihadist sect, Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau has been listed among the most powerful Muslims in the world.
The 2018 edition of the ranking which lists the most powerful Muslims in the world also featured the Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari.
The publication which contains the top powerful 500 Muslims also listed the Sultan of Sokoto, Abubakar Saad as one of the most influential Muslims in the world.
The Islamic publication revealed that there are about 1.84 billion Muslims in the world which makes up 24.38 percent of the world’s population.
The listed Nigerians also made the list of top 500 Muslims in the world last year.
The Nigerian President was ranked 19th on the list while the Sultan of Sokoto was in the 23rd position making them both part of the top 50 most influential Muslims in the world.
