Biko, when will these telemarketers stop polluting the air with their noise?

If you’ve ever come across these people selling SIM cards and mobile accessories on the roads, you’ll have to agree that they are the true definition of noise. They usually tell you to “buy your MTN, Glo, Airtel and Etisalat” SIM and recharge cards alongside “Nokia and original Tecno batteries.” The voice blaring over their usually gigantic loudspeakers is set on repeat and before they leave a particular spot near you, the announcement must have looped dozens of times such that your brain keeps a permanent memory of the lines.

Don’t get caught up with these people near your home. The day I was trying to focus on a small web design work I was doing on my laptop, these folks came around my residence, and with their loudspeakers seeming positioned towards face my window, I had to run away from home that day to keep my sanity due to the enormity of sound tormenting my brain and ears at the same time.

Biko, someone should talk to these people and government should do something about the situation immediately. Share this post to get the word out.
