Arsene Wenger Reacts To Arsenal’s 1-0 Loss To Tottenham Hotspur

The English Premier League team, Arsenal FC’s manager, Arsene Wenger, has reacted to his side’s 1-0 defeat to Tottenham on Saturday.

The defeat comes after the Arsenal side secured the purchase of Aubemeyang in the January transfer window.

Reacting to the loss, the team’s manager stated that his side could and should have taken at least one point off the game but expressed his disappointment in his lineup who failed to manage a draw.

The Frenchman further stated that Arsenal could not make the most of the chances they created at Wembley noting that the best chances his side had in the game came in the second-half when substitute Alexandre Lacazette missed a one-on-one with Tottenham goalkeeper.

Wenger, expressing his disappointment at his side said: “Well I felt in the first half we missed three or four on the counter attack and at that level it’s very difficult to swallow.Of course in the first half we had plenty of opportunities where you expect a better final ball for us.

“Once they scored we were wobbling and Spurs could’ve scored more but in last 10 mins we should’ve come back to 1-1.

“The first goal had a big part to play and unfortunately they scored with a header.”

Following the loss to Spurs, the Arsenal team is up next to face the league table topper, Manchester City, in their next Premier League game scheduled for March 1st.
