9 top gov officers not found in work after 7:30AM sacked following surprise supervision by UAE

9 top government officials were relieved of their jobs when Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid al-Maktoum conducted a physical inspection which involved the storming of government offices around 7:30AM throughout last week. The United Arab Emirates vice president said the supervision was to “send a message” in a video he posted on social media on Sunday 28 August 2016.

Following the surprise checks, Sheikh Mohammed ordered the retirement of nine members of Dubai Municipality’s executive management, including directors and assistant director-generals in departments such as legal affairs and planning on Monday. The VP thanked the 9 officials for their efforts in working for the UAE government.
