Bangladeshi-born Bajanda has undergone 16 surgeries to eradicate most of the particles that grew on his arms and legs that earned his the name “Tree Man.”
Doctors have managed to remove 5kg (11 pounds) of growth from the 27-year-old former driver’s body since his story shocked the world months ago. His condition is known as epidermodysplasia verruciformis or tree man disease.
Samanta Lal Sen, plastic surgery coordinator at Dhaka Medical College Hospital narrated,
“We operated on him at least 16 times to remove the warts.
“The hands and feet are now almost fine. He will be discharged within next 30 days after a couple of minor surgeries to perfect the shape of his hands.”
