The angry protesters turned the Chevron Oil & Gas Company premises into a camp, set bonfires and spread out mats to sleep. The routine has continued since Tuesday 9 August 2016 and there’s no end in sight, the Warri indigenes say, unless the FG and oil companies redeem their promises to the people of the community.
