With days remaining to January 14, the purported D-day when MMM Nigeria will unlock participants’ account to allow them withdraw “invested” funds frozen since December 2016, the pyramid scheme has started reaching out to the country’s biggest names in blogging.
The move was rejected however, when MMM Nigeria solicited for a partnership allegedly worth millions of naira with popular blogger Wale Adekile, popularly known as Don Caprio.
The technology blogger, like many other mindful bloggers who agreed not to promote ponzi schemes to unsuspecting members of the public during a Nigerian Bloggers Meet-up last year, rejected the offer.
When asked why he didn’t take the multi-million naira offer, Adekile, a father of one told Somtoo Okoye blog,
“It’s not always about the money…”
