It was reported that the lawyer managed to eliminate the most important piece of evidence in the case while the judge and her secretary were out of the office. When the secretary returned to the office, the lawyer said the report had gone missing, and that, without it, his client was in the clear.
The secretary suspected him of stealing the evidence, and the truth was revealed when CCTV footage was checked. A police spokesman said: “The lawyer’s guilt cannot be denied when you look at the CCTV film.”
The lawyer faces at £2,000 fine or two years in prison.
