Parents angry after transgender - who was once a boy - wins girls' race at school

Parents were left outraged after a girl who was once a boy won a girls’ race for high schools. The girl named Nattaphon “Ice” Wangyot won the Alaska State Track & Field Competition while representing her school in Anchorage, Alaska, United States.

One mum named Jennifer VanPelt whose child lost out in the race said:

“I believe parents and athletes alike should be worried. Transgender males being allowed to compete in female events are being afforded an unfair advantage.
“Males are physically different than females. That’s a scientific fact. Hormones and body modification cannot change that. Today it’s one transgender athlete. Tomorrow it could be half the field.”
