The man suspectedly behind the Saturday 17 September 2016 bombing in New York which injured 29 people have been nabbed. 28-year-old Ahmad Khan Rahami was arrested after a gunfire exchange with police in Manhattan and is currently receiving medical treatment after sustaining at least two bullet shots on his body. The alleged terrorist has been taken to University Hospital in Newark.
On how he was located, NYPD said troops found Rahami sleeping in a bar doorway in Manhattan, New York. His face matched the “wanted” person on police poster but on coming closer, Ahmad Rahami opened fire on the officers striking one policeman in the process. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was cuffed and taken to hospital.
