Controversial clergyman Reverend Njohi (not pictured) of the Lord’s Propeller Redemption Church in Nairobi, Kenya has been blasted by Kenyan media for telling female members to come to church without underwears. The pastor himself reportedly checks the women at every church session to make sure they don’t flout the orders. The rule has been in place since 2014 but received stern concern on social media over the past few weeks.
A senior pastor in the church told Malawi24:
“In a meeting chaired by Reverend Njohi, a law was passed banning the wearing of inner wears. Njohi claims that when going to church, people need to be free in ‘body’ and ‘spirit’ to receive Christ.
He strongly cautioned his church members of grave consequences should they decide to disobey his commands and put on underwear without his knowledge.
The pastor has also banned women from wearing bras.”
