Former Cameroon captain Song suffers stroke

Rigobert Song, a former Cameroon defender, is critically lying ill in a hospital in Yaounde after he suffered a stroke on 2 October 2016.

The 40-year-old sufered from cerebral aneurysm and reports say he slipped into coma on Sunday.

Song played for Liverpool and West Ham United and also earned over 100 caps playing for the national side of Cameroon. He is Arsenal midfielder Alex Song’s uncle.
