Cross Rivers State woman uses her baby for collateral after she borrowed 1,000 naira

A woman identified as Monica absconded, leaving her baby son (pictured) behind after she collected the sum of 1,000 naira as loan from a pastor at Assemblies of God Church, Obudu, Cross River State on Thursday 4 August 2016.

The woman told the pastor she would return to pick him up in a few minutes but didn’t show up until after a week – when the issue had been reported to Police. The pastor, Francis Agianpuye, took care of the baby until Thursday 12 August 2016 when the woman showed up and picked up her baby after police clearance.
