The robber was said to have stolen a mobile phone from one of the passengers before losing his balance and slipping on the bus entrance. The driver, seeing what was happening, trapped the robber and drove to a police station with the thief’s leg hanging out.
Reportedly, the robber was not charged to court because the victim decided not to press charges.
Confirming the incident, district police commandant Diego Vasquez said:
“The driver supported authorities’ work and immediately closed the door so that this man was not able to finish the robbery, and was trapped in the bus instead.”
