Benue places N5m bounty on killer of governor Samuel Ortom's aide

Following the assassination of Denen Igbana on Friday May 20 2016, the government of Benue State has placed a N5m bounty on the head of the alleged killer, one Terwase Akwaza who is also known as Ghana, a beneficiary of the state’s amnesty programme and wanted rustler of over 3000 cows.

Secretary of government of Benue State, Bem Meladu, was quoted saying while briefing journalists at Benue government house:

“I want to passionately appeal to the people of Benue State and beyond to volunteer information that will lead to the arrest of the notorious criminal. I still advise people not to give him and his gang members cover.”

The deceased, Denen Igbana, was the senior special assistant of governor Samuel Ortom on Security before his death.
