Following the sack of Sam Allardyce by England Football Association last week, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has been tipped as a replacement for the disgraced coach.
Arsenal hero Marc Overmars who played under Wenger in 1997 said the Frenchman was the ultimate candidate for the English job. Overmars was speaking at the ASPIRE4SPORT and the Aspire Academy Global Summit on Football Performance & Science.
“I think that he would be an excellent choice for the English. Maybe it’s time for him, if he has the energy for it.”
Arsene Wenger’s contact ends in December 2016.
Dearies (who support England), should England appoint Wenger as its next coach?
