A petrol tanker exploded killing its driver, two conductors as well as razing two nearby filling stations and two surrounding houses in a fatal accident that occurred at Elelenwo Junction, Eleme Akpajo Express Road in Rivers State capital Port Harcourt today.
The incident which occurred around 11:30PM on Monday 12 December left 15 people with varying degrees of burn injuries.

According to eyewitness, the petrol tanker was avoiding a black Toyota 4 Runner SUV which jumped into the Eleme Road from Elelenwo Road. The tanker successfully dodged the car before veering off the tarred road and crashing into a drainage, exploding instantly and unleashing mayhem.
