2000 cultists, kidnappers embrace amnesty in Rivers State

The Rivers State government received about 2000 former cultists, kidnappers, armed robbers and repentant perpetrators of other social vices during the state’s amnesty program on Saturday 22 October 2016.

Speaking at the event, Ken Chinda, the chairman of the amnesty committee said that thousands of machine guns, assault rifles, dane guns and ammunitions were submitted during the exercise.

He also announced that two notorious cultists, Samuel Nkasiobi, aka Italian, and Okechukwu Amadi, aka Gunboat have automatically turned themselves into enemies of the state for failing to participate in the amnesty program.
